Daddy's Girl

Kendi was out playing in the sandbox at my parents house when Jared stopped by for lunch. He's been working on a crazy deadline that happens to be today so we have been trying not to bother him. We practically don't even talk to him. I asked him to check on Kendi before he left to go back to work. He was afraid Kendi would want him to stay and play, but he wanted to talk to her before he left anyway. Sure enough, Kendi made him come out to the sandbox and asked him to help her build a castle. He told her that he needed to go to work. She asked if he "had" to go back to work and he said yes. Then she said, "If you 'have' to stay here, then you won't 'have' to go back to work."
